Seasons of Love: RENT & RENT SCHOOL EDITION Fully Available

It's the end of an era. RENT, the Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning rock musical by Jonathan Larson, has been closed on Broadway for over a year, and the tour - starring original cast members Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal - has come to an end. Advocating the celebration of life and the healing power of art, RENT has greatly impacted the lives of audience members, particularly young people, across the nation and around the world since it first hit Broadway in 1996.
But the ending of the RENT tour brings exciting news: RENT is now fully available for licensing! Without the tour imposing restrictions on when communities can perform the show, theatres are now free to tell the story of Collins, Angel, Mimi, Maureen, Roger, and Mark without having to base their performance dates around the tour's schedule.
In addition to doing the full version of RENT, theatres may now perform RENT SCHOOL EDITION. For some communities, the material in RENT may be too controversial, making RENT a difficult fit for their audiences. Generally, School Edition titles are reserved for performers no older than high school age, but we recognize that some theatres may only be able to perform this slightly edited version.
With its increased availability, the honesty and power of RENT can now sing in a theatre near you!
