Come from Away

Come from Away

Come from Away is based on the true story of the time when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover, when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

We are confident that we can create a robust promotional campaign to ensure Come From Away reaches and moves as many people as possible.

We are particularly excited to pilot Come From Away because of its extraordinary message of human connection during times of adversity—a message that resonates strongly with our own values and those of the communities we serve. We believe that bringing this story to our stage will not only offer an exceptional experience for our audiences but also provide MTI with valuable insights into the musical’s impact and reception in regional theaters.

Thank you for considering Ridgedale Community Theater as a candidate for this pilot opportunity. Please let us know if you would like additional information about our theater, resources, or how we envision staging this remarkable production. We are eager to support Come From Away's journey from Broadway to community theaters and to share its message of compassion and resilience with our audience.

Come From Away South America

Hi!

As the licensing rights for Come from Away are still unavailable, how come there is a production in Argentina? Is there a way for other South American producers, for example from Brazil, to acquire the licensing rights for the show?

Best Regards,

Gabriel
